Alberto Ascari, born July 13, 1918, in Milan, Italy, was the son of the famous racing driver Antonio Ascari. After beginning his career in motorcycle racing, he switched to four wheels, becoming one of the most talented drivers of his era.
With the Ferrari 500 F2, Ascari dominated the 1952 and 1953 seasons, winning nine consecutive Grands Prix, a record that remains unbeaten.
